About Me

I’m Katja Evertz. I am passionate about the digital world and good stories. I live and work as a digital and content strategist in Wittenberge – in the beautiful Prignitz region (my home). I’ll tell you a little bit about me on this page.

What I do

The Internet has been part of my life since the mid-1990s – from ICQ and forums to my first own blog starting in 2005 to Facebook, Twitter and Co.

After studying in Leipzig, I started as an online editor in a web agency and became director editorial a few years later. I moved on to being the Web and Social Media Officer at the University of St.Gallen and then the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance in Bonn. From 2016 to 2021, I was digital and content strategist at FleishmanHillard, I advised clients and project teams on all topics related to digital communication – from research and analysis to strategy development to content production and performance measurement.

The Summer of Pioneers and the Corona pandemic brought me back to beautiful Brandenburg. In our own elbespace, I organize, moderate and host events – from Zoom training sessions to interactive customer workshops to one-week courses.

The changes brought about by digital technologies have been with me for most of my life. Yet digital transformation is not a matter of technology, but above all a matter of people. We’re in the midst of transformation. And for it to succeed, I think we need to find the stories that drive change.
